How to use the fuel plan
Work from left to right on each leg. The plan updates calculated fuel and gallons automatically.
1. Choose the aircraft
- Open the Aircraft / Max Ramp dropdown in the Settings row.
- Select CJ 3, CJ 4, XLS, G280, Sovereign, or Sovereign +.
- The plan automatically fills in the correct Max Ramp, Taxi Burn, and Fuel Warning values for the selected aircraft.
- Confirm the three displayed values before entering the flight legs. Taxi Burn and Fuel Warning may still be adjusted manually when needed.
Fuel Warning: The Landing Fuel value turns red when it drops below the selected warning amount.
2. Enter the route and starting fuel
- Enter the departure and destination airport identifiers in From and To.
- On Leg 1, enter the fuel currently on board in the highlighted Start FOB box.
- For later legs, Auto FOB carries forward the previous leg’s calculated landing fuel. Use Manual FOB only when you need to override it.
3. Enter the leg information
- Trip Burn: Planned enroute fuel burn in pounds.
- OAT Temp: Outside air temperature in °F.
- Add Fuel: Gallons you plan to add before departure.
4. Read the calculated results
- Ramp Fuel: Fuel on board after the entered gallons are added.
- Landing Fuel: Ramp fuel minus taxi fuel and trip burn.
- Gal to Max: Gallons that can be added without exceeding Max Ramp.
- Ramp Wanted / Landing Wanted: Enter a desired fuel amount; the blue box shows gallons needed.
5. Manage the plan
- Add another leg creates an additional row.
- Reset clears the trip inputs and calculated ramp and landing fuel.
- Undo Reset restores the entries from immediately before the last reset.
- Your entries are saved only in your browser, so another person using the site will not change your plan.
Planning aid only: Verify all figures against approved aircraft data, current conditions, and your operating procedures.
